Our platform connects people through the power of culture, whether that’s through music, art, storytelling, sports, business, conference, food, education, or celebration. The CookoutEvents makes it easy to discover events happening near you or around the world, from community events to large-scale cultural festivals.
As a cultural ecosystem, we curate, amplify, and uplift events that reflect our diverse heritage and lived experiences, events that create space for belonging, healing, joy, and forward movement. TheCookout Events is a space to connect and reconnect.

Our Story
The CookoutEvents was born from a deep longing, for home, for connection, for community. I emigrated from Nigeria two decades ago and I have journeyed through different parts of the world carrying with me stories, rhythms, and memories of where I come from and where I go. Along the way, I also carried a question: Where do we gather when we are far from home?
The CookoutEvents is my answer to that question. It is a living, breathing space created for the African and Black Diaspora community to connect, to celebrate, and to find one another across borders. Whether you’re searching for a cultural gathering, a community conversation, a musical showcase, or just a space where our languages, our art, our joy, and our experiences are honored. You belong here.
Built from both personal experience and a professional vision, this space is for those of us navigating both familiar and new lands while holding on to cultural rhythms. It is for those who are building new dimensions of community without ever forgetting where they came from.
